The origins of the now invasive seedling pear were identified by researchers in the rootstock used on historic homestead orchards in the Willamette Valley. From the remnants of these razed orchards, a burgeoning forest is now chock full of a diminutive wild pears with high levels of acid, sugar, and tannin. We have discovered that these abundant fruits make a complex perry with a traditional profile. Restoration Perry is an embodiment of our mission to steward our local resources, minimize waste, and assist in ecological conservancy by finding a new life for otherwise invasive species.
